October, pumpkins, frost

Frost defined the edges of each leaf and blade of grass this morning.

This years pumpkin, inspired by an outing to Hollin Farm, where we picked our pumpkins and sunflowers the day before an early snow.

New directions

I can't ignore the sky anymore. It has to go on the canvas. Every day, there are new theatrics... remember, I moved from the city to the country. The spiders, the snakes, the grasses, the sky, the everchanging haystacks, all seem intriguing. I have several pieces in progress, but decided to post only this one. I still don't consider myself a landscape painter.
