Thoughts on selling art

Sold a deeply involved piece to a dear friend.  So happy it will be somewhere I can visit, and know that it's appreciated! Thank you for relating to this painting, my dear friend! (Hopefully I'll add more thoughts later...selling work is so complicated, you want to give it to people who enjoy it, but then you can't afford paint, canvas, life, etc...)

Rainy Day and Queen Anne's Lace

The white Queen Anne's Lace and periwinkle Flax blossoms
were spun together with delicate silvery spider webs today.

A Peek at Goose Creek

Heading toward 105 degrees today, too hot to dawdle and doodle, but hoping to get back to Goose Creek in the afternoon, if it cools down a bit.

Meanwhile, the dogs got a cool, splashing workout and I got a few photos, and lots of inspiration (and some dehydration, conceptualization, appreciation,
and of course, perspiration):

Ask and Ye Shall Receive

Totally out-of-character and (half) jokingly, I asked to take home a stunning flower arrangement after a concert last night, (Miss Tess and the Talkbacks and the Crooked Angels), a lush floral arrangement by Amy Potter of  Country Way, and I've been in flower painting bliss ever since! A wonderful evening of fabulous music, great food and wine and dessert (the flower bouquet is the best dessert, ever!) Still working on it, but here's the progress (end to beginning):

Final painting. Probably:
